Semaglutide For Weight Loss Spring Hill, TN

What is Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN?

Are you struggling to lose weight and keep it off? Incorporating diet and exercise into your weight loss plan is crucial, but it can be a challenging and discouraging process. If you're in need of some extra help, you may want to consider semaglutide from Face It Franklin. This injection, recently FDA-approved for diabetes and obesity, stimulates GLP-1 receptors in your brain, which can aid in faster weight loss and long-term well-being. By making you feel full even with smaller portions of food, semaglutide can help you shed body fat and regulate your blood sugar levels by increasing insulin sensitivity.

Overall, semaglutide could be a valuable addition to your weight loss journey because it has been shown to:

  • Regulate Your Glucose Levels
  • Increase Feelings of Fullness
  • Suppress Your Appetite
  • Slows Gastric Emptying
  • Boosted Insulin Secretion
  • Facilitate Weight Loss

Semaglutide does this by stimulating insulin release from the pancreas after eating, which can reduce blood sugar levels and boost satiety hormones like CCK and GLP-1. It is also great for decreasing the hormone that triggers hunger, called ghrelin.

Is Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN, Safe?

It's good to be wary about any medication that makes changes within your body. With that said, to put it simply, yes - this weight-loss drug is safe for you to use, so long as you qualify. In fact, semaglutide is safe even for patients who have endocrine, kidney, heart, and liver conditions. As of June 4, 2021, the Food & Drug Administration has given approval for semaglutide injections (2.4mg once weekly) to be used in chronic weight management for adults who have obesity and at least one weight-related condition such as:

  • High Cholesterol
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • High Blood Pressure
  • More

This injection, which goes under the skin, can be used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Since 2014, semaglutide has been the first drug that has been approved for this type of weight management in adults.

When Will Patients See Results from Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN?

If you're looking for sustainable weight loss, quick fixes and crash diets won't cut it. At Face It Franklin, our semaglutide weight loss program offers personalized plans and practical lifestyle adjustments to ensure lasting results. Patients often notice results soon after beginning semaglutide, but it should be clear that no two patients will have the same benefits or results from semaglutide.

With that out of the way, you can expect semaglutide to begin working soon after your first injection. Patients usually experience weight loss within two weeks of starting the program. The duration of the program will vary depending on your weight loss goals, but most patients can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week or 8-10 pounds per month. It's important to note that results may vary from person to person, but optimal outcomes are achieved when the medication is combined with a healthy diet, exercise, and guidance from our weight-loss professionals.

However, at Face It Franklin, we have patients who often lose more than this rate of weight loss. While semaglutide certainly plays a role in this process, other factors contribute to weight loss, such as:

  • Adherence to Nutritional Guidelines
  • BMI At the Start of Therapy
  • Whether or Not You're Exercising
  • The Type of Exercising You're Doing
  • Whether or Not You're Eating Healthy Foods
  • More

Maintaining a realistic perspective on your pace of weight loss is crucial. Face It Franklin strives to equip our patients with the necessary tools and knowledge to attain sustainable weight loss. But remember - your weight loss journey will almost certainly be different from other patients' experiences. As such, comparing your results with someone else's may not be a good idea. As Teddy Roosevelt wisely said, "Comparison is the thief of joy." This quote serves as sage advice that we should all keep in mind when trying to lose weight and live a healthy life.

The Life-Changing Benefits of Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN

Is semaglutide a one-size-fits-all solution for every person's weight-loss needs? No, it isn't. However, clinical studies show that more than half of patients lost weight while using the medication. That's exciting news, especially for men and women who have tried to lose weight before but failed. If you're committed to eating healthy and living an active lifestyle but still can't lose weight, semaglutide could be the nudge your body needs to transform.

Lose Weight Safely Over Time

Lose Weight Safely Over Time

Unlike many weight-loss "supplements," semaglutide helps you lose weight safely and effectively over time, but not as quickly as possible. That's a significant benefit because it gives your body time to adjust by reducing your food cravings, hunger, and appetite. That way, you can stick to a low-calorie diet easier with fewer chances of falling off the wagon. Since semaglutide also helps reduce the fat stored within your body, weight loss is gradual and safe.

Long-Lasting Weight Loss

Long-Lasting Weight Loss

Have you ever tried a diet that used supplements but found that your progress slowed or halted after your regimen was over? Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN, is different from other weight loss medications as it promotes long-term weight loss by assisting you in maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle even after you stop taking the medication. Other weight loss medications only work while they are in your system and are much less effective for long-lasting weight loss and healthy living.

Enhanced Metabolic Health

Enhanced Metabolic Health

Did you know that semaglutide was originally used for helping patients with type 2 diabetes? Semaglutide not only aids in weight loss but also lowers your chances of developing this common disease. It does so by enhancing your body's insulin utilization, reducing inflammation, and lowering cholesterol levels.

Fewer Side Effects

Fewer Side Effects

One of the biggest "knocks" about weight-loss medications is that they have horrible side effects that often outweigh the benefits of taking the medicine. Semaglutide is relatively tolerable by most patients, with the most common symptoms being headaches or constipation. When compared to other medications that actually put your health at risk, semaglutide is much safer and easier to take.

Not On Controlled Substance List

Not On Controlled Substance List

Many popular weight-loss medicines are notorious for containing harmful substances that can be found on controlled substance lists. Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication that aids in weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight. Unlike phentermine, another drug used for weight loss that is a controlled substance, semaglutide does not have any such restrictions. However, it is necessary to have a doctor's prescription to obtain and use semaglutide in most cases.

Easy to Use at Home

Easy to Use at Home

If you're looking for a convenient way to manage your weight, consider using semaglutide injections from Face It Franklin. These injections only need to be taken once a week, and you can do it from the comfort of your own home or office. This makes it an excellent option for people with busy lifestyles. Plus, studies have shown that semaglutide is more effective than other weight management medications that require daily doses.

A new Publix is planned for Spring Hill as part of a development that will include residential, retail and a hotel.

The development, currently called Spring Hill Crossing Publix, also will have a Dutch Bros. Coffee, according to the site plan. Dutch Bros is a Northwest-based national chain that began opening Middle Tennessee locations a year ago.

The Spring Hill planning commission Monday night viewed the final planned development for the Publix and the surrounding 7 acres of retail space, located between Port Royal Road and Old Port Royal Road, just south of Saturn Pkwy. The planning commissioners asked the design team, Catalyst Design Group of Nashville, to make changes, which will be discussed at upcoming meetings as the development's approval process continues.

The project was first submitted to Spring Hill planners in summer of 2020.

“I am well familiar with Publix," said city Planning Commissioner Jonathan Duda. "I think this is a nice Publix, and it might go well in other communities. But we need to look at this as Spring Hill, Tennessee.”

Duda commented on the design elements of the plan and how the look would fit in to the area's rural character, offset from bustling Hwy. 31.

“I would say that there needs to be additional work to meet our design review purpose, and the intent of our design review, which is to build prototypical buildings amended into the community vision we have set," Duda added.

He cited Publix grocery stores in Williamson County as examples in which the store has blended into the surrounding architecture.

For example, the Publix at Berry Farms mixed-use development in Franklin, where the Berry family's farm once operated, depicts architecture that blends with the history of the property and city, such as the use of materials like brick, a farmhouse metal roof and factory-like design features inspired by The Factory at Franklin. An aging silo on the Berry Farms property was also saved and restored, standing as a landmark of the generational farm.

Duda said an ideal design would include farm-type fencing, stacked stone and other agricultural-leaning elements for the proposed Publix.

More on Publix

The new Spring Hill Publix, which will be fronted by Jim Warren Road, will be nearly 50,000 square feet of grocery store space. Other notable elements in the development include the following:

More on Dutch Bros

The development site plan shows states that Dutch Bros will be one of two restaurants in the development. The city has yet to receive an application for the business. Another unnamed standalone restaurant is also planned for the development.

Oregon-based Dutch Bros serves handcrafted espresso-based coffee drinks, smoothies, freezes, teas, an exclusive Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drink and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee.

The company, which was founded in 1992 and now has more than 500 locations in 13 states, touts outgoing owners and staff. Staff members are known as "broristas."

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Spring Hill mom is finding success in something truly unique. She tells us she discovered a demand and decided to meet it herself.

"People hang art on the walls of their homes, and this is my art," Shelly Ratfliff said, showing her tattoos.

Being predictable is just not what Shelly was ever going to do.

"I never wanted to be someone who looked like someone else," she said. "I wanted to be different."

Shelly's family-owned Blind Tiger Tattoo and Piercing in Spring Hill is also where you'll find her husband, her daughters. There are a whole lot of classic sci-fi posters, Beatles and Grateful Dead memorabilia and Stephen King novels as well.

"That's Toby," Shelly smiled, looking at a skeleton sitting in the waiting room. "He's been waiting a while. He didn't pay his deposit on time."

Don't think you've got Shelly figured out. She's also a baker of excellent pistachio cookies. When she's not piercing and tattooing, she's baking.

"Lots of cakes and cookies," Shelly said. "I love it cause I can turn off everything else that's going on in my life and totally focus on that."

Shelly noticed something about her home of Spring Hill. After about 10pm, things get pretty quiet. So, as someone who's about the unexpected, Shelly had an idea.

"I brought $40 with me," a man said, walking up Shelly's driveway. The garage was lit with bright, flashing lights illuminating tie-dye sheets.

Right in her driveway, Shelly's opened the Late Night Bake Sale.

"I'm gonna have that strawberry cake!" a customer said.

"I decided I was going to see if everyone was feeling the same way I was about the need for something for those who are the night owl crew or just getting off work," Shelly said. "Not everybody goes to bed at 9 p.m."

For the past few weeks, Shelly's decided to sell some baked goodies on Saturday nights from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. when not much else is open. She wasn't sure how this was going to go at first.

"The worst thing that's gonna happen is we're gonna have a lot of treats," she laughed.

As it turns out, the sale's a hit.

"It's shocking," Shelly continued. "Every car that pulls up, I'm like, 'oh my goodness, they're actually here.'"

"Genius. Genius. Genius idea," a customer said.

The star of the bake sale has quickly become that strawberry crunch cake.

"Legendary," the customer continued. "Legendary already. Everybody's talking about it."

From tattoos and piercings to late, late Saturday night bake sales, Shelly may not have an expected story, but she's made successes working alongside the people she loves. For that, she's grateful.

"Everybody needs a treat every now and then," Shelly smiled.

"Y'all made my night," a customer said, walking away with a stack of goodies.

"I appreciate y'all comin out," Shelly called after them.

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) — We all know someone who's proudly carried a whole lot of looks and styles over the years. That's nothing compared to what one Spring Hill man will do over the course of a week. When he goes out riding, it turns heads, and the neighbors love it.

"He just does his thing, man," Spring Hill neighbor Kyle Wallace said.

Wallace is referring to Jonathan McHenry.

As he often does, McHenry was riding his scooter through the neighborhood playing Beatles hits while dressed as the version of Paul McCartney on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover.

"Every time he would come around, I would start singing, and you just dance a little bit," neighbor Colleen Pertile said.

"I cannot pull that off," neighbor Shauna Ledbetter said, referring to the outfit. "But he rocks it, like a true rock star!"

McHenry calls his ride the magical mystery scooter. He's a fan of bygone eras when vinyl was king.

"People stop me and say, 'oh, you made my day, seeing you makes it better,'" McHenry said. "There's something about it that feels right."

He is a man of constant re-invention.

"You gotta have Elton glasses," he said, sporting an orange suit, horns, and feathered wings in the style of Elton John. "If you don't feel like Elton John, you're not doing it right."

Out riding the magical mystery scooter, there's a whole line-up of music icons he plays. There's Elton in his famous Dodgers outfit, Freddie Mercury, Buddy Holly, David Bowie, and the Ed Sullivan Show appearances of the Beatles.

They're pretty classic references for a 22-year-old video game designer.

"He's got a great taste in music," Wallace said.

Jonathan's costume cosplay clothes rack is part custom-made, part thrift shop finds and practically all a lesson in music history for the kids in the neighborhood.

"It's pretty much an exact copy of the Elvis suit he wore in the movie," McHenry said, holding up a pink suit resembling one from the 2022 Elvis biopic.

"His Wembley jacket," McHenry said, holding up a yellow recreation of a jacket worn by Freddie Mercury.

"I always like getting into character and picturing myself as them," he continued. "I'm more taking inspiration and making it me."

Whether he's bringing some of that glam rock Elton style or taking some prime new wave funk music to the streets of Spring Hill, why is it McHenry does this? Well, it's simple. He loves it, and more importantly, the people around Spring Hill love it too.

"I hear Jonathan, and I just get a lot happier," kid neighbor Brody Miller said.

"You just can't help but smile," Wallace said. "He just kinda does his thing, man. Jonathan is everything good about life. He loves what he loves and is unapologetic about it, and he's just kinda living free."

"You know Jonathan's near when you hear that music," Pertile said. "You just stop and wait for him to drive by. Everybody through here loves it. We embrace it. He loves to share this with other people, and that's all that matters. It's pretty cool to see someone that joyful out there. He's probably impacted a lot of people's lives that he can't even imagine."

Guest columnist

Update: On Monday, the Williamson County Schools school board agreed to name the school after Amanda North.

My grandmother wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but a teacher told her she would be better off doing “day work,” so that’s what she did.

Growing up Black in Williamson County meant having to do a dance between oppression and achievement. Amanda North found a way to gracefully navigate between the two.

Mrs. North began her teaching career in 1934, straight out of high school. She taught during the school year and went to college during the summer until she graduated from Tennessee A & I State College, which is now Tennessee State University.

Mrs. North realized that the 20-cent lunch fee was more than some of her students could afford. She organized community suppers to help cover the costs. She recognized that some of her students lived too far to walk, so she drove to pick them up so they could achieve an education.

"Mrs. North was my favorite teacher, I loved her because she was always so stylish and helpful to her students," recalls Millie Hardin Rucker, a former student.

A well-respected woman adored by her family

During bad weather, Mrs. North would stay at school with students and feed them until it was safe for bus travel. “Parents knew their children were in good hands,” reflects Maggie Brown, retired Williamson County teacher and daughter of Amanda North.

Mrs. North’s teaching career went on to span over 40 years in Williamson County. She became the principal at Thompson Station school and Evergreen school in Spring Hill. Later, she taught adult education at Natchez High School in Franklin.

I met Mrs. North when I attended Franklin High School. Growing up in Franklin, I always knew of education giants like her and Mary Mills because they taught most of the Black students in Williamson County during a time of segregation, and they made a lasting impact in the community.

I was friends with Mrs. North’s granddaughter and would spend time in her home. I remember her being a woman of excellence and authority. She was well respected in the community and adored by her family.

“I remember my grandmother waiting on the front porch to greet us every day when we came home from school. She helped us with our homework and always had a snack for us to eat,” recalls North’s granddaughter, Quen Williams, current Williamson County principal. “My mother was teaching and she often filled in to take us to school. I remember her telling us how important it was for us to do well in school and to go to college.”

Williams goes on to say that her grandmother was loving, but firm. “She would have fun, but she didn’t play when she meant business.”

Let the school district know how you feel

In a community that prides itself on heritage and legacy, Amanda North not only made an impact on the lives of those she taught, but she created a family legacy as well. She had three sisters, two daughters, two granddaughters and two nieces who taught within the Williamson County and Franklin Special School Districts. Three of these ladies are current principals.

When the Williamson County School Board asked for suggestions in naming a new school built in Spring Hill, Amanda H. North was the obvious choice.

Mrs. North was a woman dedicated to this community and its residents. She went above and beyond to secure the futures of the children who were in her care, all while raising a family and facing the daily adversity of the times.

Her name is associated with educational excellence and a rich legacy in Williamson County.

Please email newschoolwilkes@wcs.edu and request Mrs. Amanda North's name be added for consideration.

Dawnita Robertson is a native of Williamson County. Many members of her family were taught by Amanda North.

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WSMV) - Maintenance issues at a Spring Hill apartment complex have one family pleading for help and said their problems are creating a dangerous situation that is affecting their safety system and their health.

What started off as a leaking roof now has at least one family dealing with a laundry list of issues.

“What did we get ourselves into,” Katherine Green asked.

The situation started in 2021.

“We were sleeping and heard a bunch of rain come through and all of the smoke alarms started going off,” Green said.

Within seconds, Green sprinted to her son and saw that his room’s floor was flooded, and the water was coming from the smoke detector. That’s when Green quickly called for maintenance.

“It has just kind of progressed from there,” Green said. “Now you can see it leaking from there and you can see the mildew where it’s been leaking for quite some time.”

After more than 10 phone calls and two online maintenance requests, over the last year and a half, Green said it’s just issue after issue.

“As soon as it starts raining again, it leaks again,” Green explained.

All the damage has grown much deeper than bowls filled with water.

“I’m extremely allergic to mold,” Green said. Either way it can still make you very sick and that’s not something I want to be around. I started having respiratory issues where I can’t breathe. I’m asthmatic so it’s very stressful.”

In addition to her health and the leaking, Green said the smoke detector has completely shorted and doesn’t work at all which now leaves her son’s room undetectable from a possible fire.

“We’re not the only unit in this apartment complex,” Green said. “We’re just the only ones frustrated enough to contact you.”

After months of complaints, Green said when she told apartment officials she contacted WSMV4, within hours, they sent out a roofing team.

“I just don’t think it’s right and I want to see it made right,” Green said.

The Greens are now just praying and hoping their problems will get solved.

WSMV4 reached out to the Grand Reserve apartments at Spring Hill asking for answers, but we haven’t heard back.
