Semaglutide For Weight Loss Spring Hill, TN

What is Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN?

Are you struggling to lose weight and keep it off? Incorporating diet and exercise into your weight loss plan is crucial, but it can be a challenging and discouraging process. If you're in need of some extra help, you may want to consider semaglutide from Face It Franklin. This injection, recently FDA-approved for diabetes and obesity, stimulates GLP-1 receptors in your brain, which can aid in faster weight loss and long-term well-being. By making you feel full even with smaller portions of food, semaglutide can help you shed body fat and regulate your blood sugar levels by increasing insulin sensitivity.

Overall, semaglutide could be a valuable addition to your weight loss journey because it has been shown to:

  • Regulate Your Glucose Levels
  • Increase Feelings of Fullness
  • Suppress Your Appetite
  • Slows Gastric Emptying
  • Boosted Insulin Secretion
  • Facilitate Weight Loss

Semaglutide does this by stimulating insulin release from the pancreas after eating, which can reduce blood sugar levels and boost satiety hormones like CCK and GLP-1. It is also great for decreasing the hormone that triggers hunger, called ghrelin.

Is Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN, Safe?

It's good to be wary about any medication that makes changes within your body. With that said, to put it simply, yes - this weight-loss drug is safe for you to use, so long as you qualify. In fact, semaglutide is safe even for patients who have endocrine, kidney, heart, and liver conditions. As of June 4, 2021, the Food & Drug Administration has given approval for semaglutide injections (2.4mg once weekly) to be used in chronic weight management for adults who have obesity and at least one weight-related condition such as:

When Will Patients See Results from Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN?

If you're looking for sustainable weight loss, quick fixes and crash diets won't cut it. At Face It Franklin, our semaglutide weight loss program offers personalized plans and practical lifestyle adjustments to ensure lasting results. Patients often notice results soon after beginning semaglutide, but it should be clear that no two patients will have the same benefits or results from semaglutide.

With that out of the way, you can expect semaglutide to begin working soon after your first injection. Patients usually experience weight loss within two weeks of starting the program. The duration of the program will vary depending on your weight loss goals, but most patients can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week or 8-10 pounds per month. It's important to note that results may vary from person to person, but optimal outcomes are achieved when the medication is combined with a healthy diet, exercise, and guidance from our weight-loss professionals.

However, at Face It Franklin, we have patients who often lose more than this rate of weight loss. While semaglutide certainly plays a role in this process, other factors contribute to weight loss, such as:

  • Adherence to Nutritional Guidelines
  • BMI At the Start of Therapy
  • Whether or Not You're Exercising
  • The Type of Exercising You're Doing
  • Whether or Not You're Eating Healthy Foods
  • More

Maintaining a realistic perspective on your pace of weight loss is crucial. Face It Franklin strives to equip our patients with the necessary tools and knowledge to attain sustainable weight loss. But remember - your weight loss journey will almost certainly be different from other patients' experiences. As such, comparing your results with someone else's may not be a good idea. As Teddy Roosevelt wisely said, "Comparison is the thief of joy." This quote serves as sage advice that we should all keep in mind when trying to lose weight and live a healthy life.

The Life-Changing Benefits of Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN

Is semaglutide a one-size-fits-all solution for every person's weight-loss needs? No, it isn't. However, clinical studies show that more than half of patients lost weight while using the medication. That's exciting news, especially for men and women who have tried to lose weight before but failed. If you're committed to eating healthy and living an active lifestyle but still can't lose weight, semaglutide could be the nudge your body needs to transform.

Lose Weight Safely Over Time

Lose Weight Safely Over Time

Unlike many weight-loss "supplements," semaglutide helps you lose weight safely and effectively over time, but not as quickly as possible. That's a significant benefit because it gives your body time to adjust by reducing your food cravings, hunger, and appetite. That way, you can stick to a low-calorie diet easier with fewer chances of falling off the wagon. Since semaglutide also helps reduce the fat stored within your body, weight loss is gradual and safe.

Long-Lasting Weight Loss

Long-Lasting Weight Loss

Have you ever tried a diet that used supplements but found that your progress slowed or halted after your regimen was over? Semaglutide in Spring Hill, TN, is different from other weight loss medications as it promotes long-term weight loss by assisting you in maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle even after you stop taking the medication. Other weight loss medications only work while they are in your system and are much less effective for long-lasting weight loss and healthy living.

Enhanced Metabolic Health

Enhanced Metabolic Health

Did you know that semaglutide was originally used for helping patients with type 2 diabetes? Semaglutide not only aids in weight loss but also lowers your chances of developing this common disease. It does so by enhancing your body's insulin utilization, reducing inflammation, and lowering cholesterol levels.

Fewer Side Effects

Fewer Side Effects

One of the biggest "knocks" about weight-loss medications is that they have horrible side effects that often outweigh the benefits of taking the medicine. Semaglutide is relatively tolerable by most patients, with the most common symptoms being headaches or constipation. When compared to other medications that actually put your health at risk, semaglutide is much safer and easier to take.

Not On Controlled Substance List

Not On Controlled Substance List

Many popular weight-loss medicines are notorious for containing harmful substances that can be found on controlled substance lists. Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication that aids in weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight. Unlike phentermine, another drug used for weight loss that is a controlled substance, semaglutide does not have any such restrictions. However, it is necessary to have a doctor's prescription to obtain and use semaglutide in most cases.

Easy to Use at Home

Easy to Use at Home

If you're looking for a convenient way to manage your weight, consider using semaglutide injections from Face It Franklin. These injections only need to be taken once a week, and you can do it from the comfort of your own home or office. This makes it an excellent option for people with busy lifestyles. Plus, studies have shown that semaglutide is more effective than other weight management medications that require daily doses.

Spring Hill GM workers prepared to strike long term

MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — As workers from the General Motors (GM) assembly plant in Spring Hill wrapped up the second day of their strike on Sunday, union leaders said United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 1853 members are prepared to strike long term, if needed.

GM’s Spring Hill facility is the company’s largest manufacturing plant in North America, employing nearly 4,000 workers.

UAW members told News 2 they are fighting for equal pay, as opposed to a tier system; better wages; and pre-2009 benefits, similar to what employees had before GM declared bankruptcy.

UAW Local 1853 President John Rutherford told News 2 his members are striking after years of record-breaking earnings for company.

“You guys are all making record profits, we’re doing the blood sweat and tears. Our men and women are working, building product, we just want a little piece of the pie,” Rutherford explained.

Spring Hill GM employees joined the picket line with at least 14,000 other workers across the country currently on strike.

“Trying to get everybody at that equal pay scale, you know, temporary work,” Rutherford said. “Right now, they could keep them for years as temps, we’re trying to get that…so they get permanence and they’re not temps for two, three years.”

According to Rutherford, production will come to a screeching halt not just in Spring Hill, but also across the country, with few assembly plants still running.

Spring Hill Mayor Jim Hagaman said the strike has a major local impact as well, with the facility being a major heartbeat within the Middle Tennessee community.

“Four thousand families are affected by this strike, so it is a big deal to Spring Hill, not just for the families and the individual staff that is striking, but also where they go to spend their money, on the mom and pop shops, so it affects them, as well,” Hagaman told News 2.

However long the strike takes, Hagaman hopes the union and GM can come up with long-term solutions.

“I’m former military, I’m a preemptive strike guy, and that is a strategy that works well, and so my hope is that the takeaway from this, whenever it ends, that management and the union representatives can get together, and when this comes across again the table, that they can overt that and just go to negotiations so this does not happen again,” Hagaman explained.

Rutherford said members are willing to strike as long as it takes to secure a good contract, which means it could be a while before assembly lines return to normal for Cadillac SUVs, including the all-electric LYRIQ, and the GMC Acadia, all produced in Spring Hill.

“Last time, it was a 44-day strike, you know, nationwide. This is our second day, but we’ve been on it. Other plants have been out for six weeks right now, so it’s over 40 days, so I think this is like the last kick, they’re trying to put them over the edge, you know, walking out their big money makers — Texas, Spring Hill, and maybe Flint, maybe in the future — so, I think they’re trying to get just a little bit, get them over the edge a little bit, get what we need to get back,” Rutherford told News 2.

For now, local UAW workers will receive $500 a week in strike pay.

GM issued the following statement on Saturday, Oct. 28 in response to the strike’s expansion to Spring Hill:

“We are disappointed by the UAW’s action in light of the progress we have made. We have continued to bargain in good faith with the UAW, and our goal remains to reach an agreement as quickly as possible.”

Spring Hill hopes to lift irrigation restrictions Thursday

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — The mechanical issues have been fixed but the city of Spring Hill’s irrigation remains shut down. On Tuesday, city officials called on all residents to temporarily suspend non-essential water usage including irrigation activities until further notice.

City Manager Pam Caskie told News 2 this all stemmed from a cascading series of events. It apparently started Thursday night with a TVA substation outage that knocked systems offline. That hit close enough to Columbia’s intake for their water and knocked one of their main pumps offline.

“I think they tried to get it repaired. But on Sunday night, they had had enough of a drop and they still hadn’t been able to get it back on,” she explained. “They had enough of a drop, they asked us to reduce our usage. And they kept throttling us back because nobody was making any progress.”

She said when their tanks started to drop dramatically, city officials turned off their largest irrigation customers, which were commercial properties, big HOAs that had a lot of public spaces, and city parks. They’ve since made progress on the city’s tank levels.

This was not the city’s first time experiencing water challenges.

“Two years ago, we had the same problem. And then last year, we had the problem. The first year we had the problem I said never again, we’re not doing it, we were supposed to get this new booster station online that was supposed to increase us by 2 million gallons a day. Problem solved. Good, good deal, right? Not expecting a mechanical failure,” said Caskie. “Last year, we didn’t have the capacity because the booster station, all the supply chain issues kept us from getting the booster station online. And now this year, it was a mechanical failure, right? I’d like to tell you, Oh, this is never going to happen again. But mechanical failures are always going to potentially happen.”

Caskie explained one way they’re trying to prepare for any future issues.

“What we do have in place are three tank expansions that will give us more tank storage, which will give us more hedge against these sorts of problems,” she explained, adding that this will allow a longer period of time between telling people to conserve water and having to shut down any water services.

Spring Hill officials said they hope to lift the irrigation restrictions Thursday. Currently, residents are still asked to continue their voluntary shutoff of irrigation systems. Large commercial properties in Spring Hill are still under a mandatory shutoff.

SPRING HILL, TN (WTVF) — It's been a week since United auto workers started strikes across the country demanding better wages and other benefits. Now there's a new deadline.

The President of UAW says they're prepared to call more plants into the fight today at noon.

UAW President Shawn Fain says if negotiations don't make significant progress, then he will call on more plants to strike which could possibly include the Spring Hill plant. This morning at 9 a.m. he will take to Facebook live to update auto workers across the country on where they stand. In the midst of negotiation talks, more layoffs happened on Thursday.

In Toledo, 12 different shops that supply the Jeep plant where UAW is striking have laid off more than 1,600 workers, according to Bruce Baumhower, president of the union local in northeast Ohio. More than half will get state unemployment benefits, while workers at two companies located inside the Jeep plant have been approved for payments from the union strike fund, “but they can’t picket because they’re not on strike,” he said.

People have been dropping off donations at the Spring Hill site for union members to get through the strike if they need it, but not all folks agree with the strike. As a town, Spring Hill definitely changes when there is a strike, as reflected in the 2019 strike that impacted the economy. Spring Hill and Columbia heavily rely on GM workers and their spending habits. GM in Spring Hill produces some Cadillacs and second-generation GMC Acadia.

Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis said they want to reach a deal and settle the strike. Thursday, they held back from speaking on the strike growing. The UAW is seeking wage increases of more than 30% over four years and other benefits. A striking worker in Ohio says raises are the least automakers can do.

"Record profits year after year that you tout record profits year after year that we read in the news, but we don't get record contracts,” said Production Painter Eloy Garza.

The union says workers deserve a bigger share of companies' record profits. The auto companies say they can’t afford to meet the UAW’s demands because they must invest those profits to help make the transition to electric vehicles. We'll keep a close eye on what happens as this story develops.

Dirt is moving in Williamson County's June Lake community, and homes are selling faster than they can be built, officials say.

The Spring Hill-based project, spearheaded by Southeast Venture, LLC, isn’t scheduled to be completed for another two decades, but construction has been happening at the multi-million-acre site since 2021.

"While construction has been occurring for a while, it has (mostly) been infrastructure. We only recently started vertical construction," said Southeast Venture Principal Wood Caldwell. But interest in the development is high, officials agree.

When Tudor Homes announced last year that they were starting construction on the development's first 28 residences, emails started flying in, asking when they'd be ready for purchase, according to David Tudor, the company's founder and owner.

Tudor Homes is continuing to make progress on the homes, which range in size from about 3,000 - 3,500 square feet. And while many are eager to purchase, Tudor Homes does not allow homes to be pre-sold, company officials noted. They expect these homes to be listed on the market for $900,000.

Contractor Signature Homes is also building homes for June Lake with pricing starting at $645,000, and according to Caldwell, they have pre-sold 10 homes.

Once the development is completely finished, June Lake will offer buyers a choice of three different neighborhoods. Saddlewalk will feature 400 single-family homes and townhouses, The Preserve will feature 28 single-family homes and Solstice will feature a 227-unit apartment complex.

Besides home construction, work has also begun on a 3-million-gallon water tank that will provide water to June Lake and Spring Hill residents. It is scheduled to be completed by September 2024.

Other plans for the development include 3.9 million square feet of Class A office space, about 1.3 million square feet of retail and restaurant space and 400 hotel rooms. The development has already attracted businesses that are new to Tennessee, including the grocery chain Hy-Vee, which is set to open at June Lake next spring.

Work is also continuing on a new I-65 exit at June Lake, which officials hope will alleviate traffic.

The City of Spring Hill is fully funding the project, but city officials received a $25 million federal BUILD grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to aid in construction.

Continued delays in the interchange's project schedule have caused the anticipated completion date to be pushed to late spring, TDOT announced earlier this summer.

The original completion date was set for this summer. It was pushed to the winter of this year due to permitting and Right of Way delays, but with additional issues in unforeseen weather and unsuitable soil, it was pushed again, TDOT said.

Aerial photos taken of June Lake in September show progress on infrastructure and sitework for the Solstice and Saddlewalk neighborhoods as well as the interchange.

Crews are also making progress on the development's Aenon Creek Greenway.

The greenway is one of several major amenities planned for June Lake, which has been nicknamed the "new gateway to Spring Hill." Others include nature friendly spaces, an 11-acre lake and pedestrian friendly dining and shopping options.

Update: A representative from Ultium Cells LLC replied to our questions with the following comment:

"Ultium Cells – Spring Hill is on-track to start production on our first cell production line February 2024." The original article follows below.

General Motors, the maker of several battery-powered cars, will open its Ultium Cells plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee later than originally planned, the company said in its third-quarter earnings call earlier this week.

When it was first announced in 2021, the factory was said to become operational at the end of 2023 after a $2.3 billion investment from both General Motors and LG Chem’s LG Energy Solution as part of their 50/50 joint venture called Ultium Cells LLC, but now the manufacturing facility will go online sometime early 2024 due to construction delays.

“The Spring Hill plant will start early next year,” said GM CEO Mary Barra. “There was a couple of weeks, it was supposed to originally start at the end of this year. There was a couple of weeks due to some construction delays but it now is on track, and it will ramp with all the benefit of the learnings,” she added on the call.

We reached out to GM for a comment on when exactly the site is expected to become operational and will update this article when we get a reply.

Once completed, the Spring Hill Ultium Cells factory will provide batteries to the nearby Spring Hill assembly plant that’s responsible for building the Cadillac Lyriq EV, but until that happens, the packs will continue to be delivered from GM’s and LG’s other Ultium Cells plant in Warren, Ohio.

A total of three cell factories are planned in the United States under the Ultium Cells joint venture. The first one, located in Ohio, went online in 2022, while the other two – in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Lansing, Michigan – are still under construction. Additionally, the joint venture has an operational factory in Shanghai, China.

A fourth battery-making facility is slated to open in Indiana, where GM has partnered with Samsung SDI.

To make the Ultium Cells plants a reality, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) granted a $2.5 billion low-cost loan to the joint venture that will employ over 5,000 people once all three facilities are online, plus about 6,000 construction jobs during the building phase.

When it opens next year, the 2.8 million-square-foot Spring Hill Ultium Cells factory will create 1,300 new manufacturing jobs that will produce large-format, pouch-style cells that will power electric vehicles based on GM’s Ultium platform.
