Semaglutide For Weight Loss Nashville, TN

What is Semaglutide in Nashville, TN?

Are you struggling to lose weight and keep it off? Incorporating diet and exercise into your weight loss plan is crucial, but it can be a challenging and discouraging process. If you're in need of some extra help, you may want to consider semaglutide from Face It Franklin. This injection, recently FDA-approved for diabetes and obesity, stimulates GLP-1 receptors in your brain, which can aid in faster weight loss and long-term well-being. By making you feel full even with smaller portions of food, semaglutide can help you shed body fat and regulate your blood sugar levels by increasing insulin sensitivity.

Overall, semaglutide could be a valuable addition to your weight loss journey because it has been shown to:

  • Regulate Your Glucose Levels
  • Increase Feelings of Fullness
  • Suppress Your Appetite
  • Slows Gastric Emptying
  • Boosted Insulin Secretion
  • Facilitate Weight Loss

Semaglutide does this by stimulating insulin release from the pancreas after eating, which can reduce blood sugar levels and boost satiety hormones like CCK and GLP-1. It is also great for decreasing the hormone that triggers hunger, called ghrelin.

If you find that your goals are not being met, our weight-loss specialists can conduct additional testing to identify any obstacles and modify your plan accordingly.

Is Semaglutide in Nashville, TN, Safe?

It's good to be wary about any medication that makes changes within your body. With that said, to put it simply, yes - this weight-loss drug is safe for you to use, so long as you qualify. In fact, semaglutide is safe even for patients who have endocrine, kidney, heart, and liver conditions. As of June 4, 2021, the Food & Drug Administration has given approval for semaglutide injections (2.4mg once weekly) to be used in chronic weight management for adults who have obesity and at least one weight-related condition such as:

  • High Cholesterol
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • High Blood Pressure
  • More

This injection, which goes under the skin, can be used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Since 2014, semaglutide has been the first drug that has been approved for this type of weight management in adults.

When Will Patients See Results from Semaglutide in Nashville, TN?

If you're looking for sustainable weight loss, quick fixes and crash diets won't cut it. At Face It Franklin, our semaglutide weight loss program offers personalized plans and practical lifestyle adjustments to ensure lasting results. Patients often notice results soon after beginning semaglutide, but it should be clear that no two patients will have the same benefits or results from semaglutide.

With that out of the way, you can expect semaglutide to begin working soon after your first injection. Patients usually experience weight loss within two weeks of starting the program. The duration of the program will vary depending on your weight loss goals, but most patients can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week or 8-10 pounds per month. It's important to note that results may vary from person to person, but optimal outcomes are achieved when the medication is combined with a healthy diet, exercise, and guidance from our weight-loss professionals.

However, at Face It Franklin, we have patients who often lose more than this rate of weight loss. While semaglutide certainly plays a role in this process, other factors contribute to weight loss, such as:

  • Adherence to Nutritional Guidelines
  • BMI At the Start of Therapy
  • Whether or Not You're Exercising
  • The Type of Exercising You're Doing
  • Whether or Not You're Eating Healthy Foods
  • More

Maintaining a realistic perspective on your pace of weight loss is crucial. Face It Franklin strives to equip our patients with the necessary tools and knowledge to attain sustainable weight loss. But remember - your weight loss journey will almost certainly be different from other patients' experiences. As such, comparing your results with someone else's may not be a good idea. As Teddy Roosevelt wisely said, "Comparison is the thief of joy." This quote serves as sage advice that we should all keep in mind when trying to lose weight and live a healthy life.

The Life-Changing Benefits of Semaglutide in Nashville, TN

Is semaglutide a one-size-fits-all solution for every person's weight-loss needs? No, it isn't. However, clinical studies show that more than half of patients lost weight while using the medication. That's exciting news, especially for men and women who have tried to lose weight before but failed. If you're committed to eating healthy and living an active lifestyle but still can't lose weight, semaglutide could be the nudge your body needs to transform.

Lose Weight Safely Over Time

Lose Weight Safely Over Time

Unlike many weight-loss "supplements," semaglutide helps you lose weight safely and effectively over time, but not as quickly as possible. That's a significant benefit because it gives your body time to adjust by reducing your food cravings, hunger, and appetite. That way, you can stick to a low-calorie diet easier with fewer chances of falling off the wagon. Since semaglutide also helps reduce the fat stored within your body, weight loss is gradual and safe.

Long-Lasting Weight Loss

Long-Lasting Weight Loss

Have you ever tried a diet that used supplements but found that your progress slowed or halted after your regimen was over? Semaglutide in Nashville, TN, is different from other weight loss medications as it promotes long-term weight loss by assisting you in maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle even after you stop taking the medication. Other weight loss medications only work while they are in your system and are much less effective for long-lasting weight loss and healthy living.

Enhanced Metabolic Health

Enhanced Metabolic Health

Did you know that semaglutide was originally used for helping patients with type 2 diabetes? Semaglutide not only aids in weight loss but also lowers your chances of developing this common disease. It does so by enhancing your body's insulin utilization, reducing inflammation, and lowering cholesterol levels.

Fewer Side Effects

Fewer Side Effects

One of the biggest "knocks" about weight-loss medications is that they have horrible side effects that often outweigh the benefits of taking the medicine. Semaglutide is relatively tolerable by most patients, with the most common symptoms being headaches or constipation. When compared to other medications that actually put your health at risk, semaglutide is much safer and easier to take.

Not On Controlled Substance List

Not On Controlled Substance List

Many popular weight-loss medicines are notorious for containing harmful substances that can be found on controlled substance lists. Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication that aids in weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight. Unlike phentermine, another drug used for weight loss that is a controlled substance, semaglutide does not have any such restrictions. However, it is necessary to have a doctor's prescription to obtain and use semaglutide in most cases.

Easy to Use at Home

Easy to Use at Home

If you're looking for a convenient way to manage your weight, consider using semaglutide injections from Face It Franklin. These injections only need to be taken once a week, and you can do it from the comfort of your own home or office. This makes it an excellent option for people with busy lifestyles. Plus, studies have shown that semaglutide is more effective than other weight management medications that require daily doses.

NASHVILLE – The Titans will wear their Oilers throwback uniforms in home games against Houston and Atlanta in 2023, and former Oilers are happy about it.

In fact, when Hall of Famer Robert Brazile saw the uniform reveal over the weekend, he woke his wife up as he reacted.

"I was in tears when I saw these uniforms, because I was so excited," Brazile said. "My wife heard me and woke up, and said: 'Robert, is everything OK?' And I said: 'Brenda, it's finally going to happen! It's going to really, really happen! My colors, my Luv 'Ya Blue, it's coming alive again.' And it makes me, and it makes everybody that played with the Oilers know, 'We're not dead. We're alive. The Oilers are alive.'

"I don't think you can really understand it unless you were an Oiler. But I gave my heart and soul to that organization – it's the only organization I ever played for – and for Amy (Adams Strunk) and the team to keep our memory alive, it's heartwarming. Every time the Titans wear those Oilers jerseys, I don't care where they are at, I want to be at that stadium."

After announcing the return of the Oilers throwbacks over the weekend, the Titans on Thursday announced the games they'll wear them:

-vs the Atlanta Falcons, on October 29 at Nissan Stadium. The game will serve as Oilers/Titans Alumni Weekend, a tradition the team started several years ago.

-vs the Houston Texans, on December 17 at Nissan Stadium.

While there's still an outside chance the team could have an opportunity to wear them once on the road, the games against the Falcons and Texans are now confirmed.

Brazile, who played linebacker from 1975-84 with the Oilers and earned the nickname "Dr. Doom", can't understand why the folks in Houston have taken offense to the Titans bringing back the throwback uniforms. Brazile said the Titans deserve to wear them, and he thinks it's great they're wearing them against the Texans.

Other former Oilers agree.

"I am going to make this as plain and simple as I can for anyone who has any doubts about this: The Oilers are Titans history, not Texans history," Brazile said. "Look at the Titans Ring of Honor, and how many Oilers are in there? It's a good number (10). How many Oilers are in the Texans Ring of Honor? The answer is zero.

"I was born an Oiler and I'm going to die a Titan."

In 2023, the Titans will wear the same uniforms the Oilers wore for decades in Houston, until 1998, when the franchise also wore them as the Tennessee Oilers.

Tennessee's Oilers throwbacks will feature Columbia Blue jerseys with red around white on the numbers, and names on the back, with a red, white and light blue band on the sleeves.

They'll also feature white helmets, with the famed oil derrick, with red facemasks and red stripes outside of a thicker light blue stripe on the top. They'll include white pants, or britches, with red stripes on each side of a thicker light blue stripe down the side, along with red and white stripes on light blue and white socks.

The words 'Luv Ya Blue" will be on the back neckline of the jerseys.

"It's been a long time coming," said Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon, who played from 1994-2003 with the Oilers. "I've been talking to Amy about this for two years now and she's been wanting to do this for a long time, and I am glad it is going to happen.

"I would love to see them wear those Oilers both times against the Texans – once in Houston, so the Houston fans can see it, and of course in Tennessee so the fans there can see the uniforms."

The Oilers left Houston for Tennessee after the 1996 season and played a year in Memphis, in 1997, before playing in Nashville at Vanderbilt Stadium in 1998. The Tennessee Oilers became the Tennessee Titans in time for the 1999 season.

"I know this is a very sensitive subject in Houston, but the Texans never really reached out to any of the (former Oilers) and never made it feel like they wanted anything to do with the Oilers," Moon said. "They wanted to just create their own identity. And since Amy has taken over, she has really had a passion for the Houston Oilers – she wanted to bring everybody into one family, Oilers and Titans, and that's why she's had these alumni weekends, and been doing that for the last five years.

"Now all the Oilers feel really comfortable going to Nashville every year for their reunion, and they never had a reunion before Amy came aboard. I know my number is retired in the stadium in Nashville, and it's where I'm in the Ring of Honor, and that's what I identify with now."

Bud Adams, father of Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, was the owner when Brazile and Moon played for the Oilers.

Former Oilers receiver Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, who played in Houston from 1974-1980, said he appreciates the Titans keeping the memory of the Oilers alive.

Amy Adams Strunk has repeatedly said she wants to pay homage to the franchise's history. The organization has honored Houston Oilers players at alumni events in years past, and Strunk was behind the efforts to bring back the Oilers uniforms.

This fall, the throwback Oilers uniforms will be in full display.

"When the Titans come out in those uniforms, it's going to bring back memories, all kinds of memories," Johnson said. "And I can't thank Amy enough – she's done a great job keeping the Oilers and the memory of the Oilers alive, and I know all the former players appreciate it.

"And when you look at it, the Titans are the Oilers and the Oilers are the Titans. People forget the Tennessee Oilers wore these uniforms, too, so it just seems right. I can't wait to see them on the field again."

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots traded veteran kicker Nick Folk to the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday.

Terms were not disclosed but a source told ESPN that New England received a 2025 seventh-round draft pick.

Folk, who turns 39 in November, enters his 16th NFL season and is tied for 23rd on the all-time list with 353 career field goals. He ranks fifth among active kickers.

The Patriots selected strong-legged Maryland kicker Chad Ryland in the fourth round of the 2023 draft, trading up to do so. That signaled that Folk's time with the franchise was likely coming to an end, with the Patriots preferring to go with the younger option who also handles kickoffs (which Folk does only as an emergency replacement).

Titans coach Mike Vrabel had called the team's kicking position a "fluid situation" Monday after Michael Badgley was waived. The Titans tried Badgley in their preseason finale after waiving a pair of undrafted kickers who competed throughout the offseason, only to cut him Sunday.

Folk had been a steady presence in New England since joining the team in October 2019 as an injury replacement for then-kicker Stephen Gostkowski. It helped revive his NFL career after he was out of the league in 2018, using a stint with the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football to show he was healthy from a 2017 left knee injury that landed him on injured reserve.

Folk was 108-for-121 on field goal attempts (89.2%) in his three-plus seasons in New England, at one point setting a franchise record by making 36 in a row.

While Folk's range wasn't as deep as Ryland's in training camp, he seemed to be more consistent in the practices viewed by reporters.

Folk, the former University of Arizona standout, has been with the Dallas Cowboys (2007-2009), New York Jets (2010-2016), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2017) and Patriots (2019-2022) over his NFL career.

Komodo dragons take center stage at Nashville Zoo

...

Feeding Komodo dragons takes the awareness, planning and apprehension that an explosives expert brings to disassembling a ticking time bomb.

What's happening: The enigmatic giant lizards are the new featured attraction at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. They can grow up to 10 feet and 300 pounds, according to the zoo, and are so smart they can learn their names and respond to vocal commands.

How it works: A team of two zoo staffers uses large plastic riot gear shields and giant sticks for protection when they inch into the Komodo dragon exhibit to feed them meals of frozen rats.

Why it matters: The Komodo dragon exhibit is the latest addition to the rapidly expanding Nashville Zoo. It cost $4.5 million and is touted as the largest exhibit of its kind in terms of space in the Americas.

Zoom in: For Nashville Zoo curator of ectotherms Dale McGinnity, Komodo dragons are more than a passing professional interest. He went to live among the dragons in Indonesia in the 1990s, spending eight months subduing the animals and collecting valuable blood and saliva samples.

What he's saying: McGinnity said he learned during his trips to Indonesia that multiple Komodo dragons can live together, but the Nashville Zoo is at the forefront of such an exhibit.

Yes, but: McGinnity says when something clicks in the dragons' brain making them think food is near, they can become very "primordial."

What's next: The plan is to eventually add a carcass feeding at the zoo, with a goat hind end hung up so spectators can understand how the dragons feed in the wild.

Zoom out: The Nashville Zoo paired its new exhibit with a $50,000 donation for Komodo dragon conservation. There are between 3,000 and 5,000 of the endangered lizards living in the wild, McGinnity says, adding that the dragons are relatively easy to breed in zoos.

The bottom line: "Everybody who has come through has just loved it, especially kids. That gets me fired up more than anything," McGinnity says.

Why Jessica Simpson moved her family to Nashville for the summer

Jessica Simpson reveals daughter’s babysitter was Selena Gomez

02:33

Jessica Simpson is following her bliss, and it has led her to Nashville.

For National Dog Day, the pop music icon spoke to “E! News” correspondent Keltie Knight about her latest partnership with PetSafe and what she has in store.

Speaking about her family life and goals, the singer revealed that she recently relocated with her husband and children from Los Angeles to the Tennessee city — at least for a while.

Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, moved with their kids Maxwell Drew, 11, Ace Knute, 10, and Birdie Mae, 4, and are renting a house in the Music City. According to Simpson, renting is a "hilarious experience."

“I used thumbtacks to hang these $40 curtains up so I wouldn’t wake up with the sun,” she told “E! News.” “I put together a TV with a butter knife. I was looking for a screwdriver, but I went to the wrong place. I went to Walgreens, I got lip gloss instead.”

Simpson said the change in location has led to a change in outlook.

“Being in Nashville, even my kids are like, ‘You laugh the whole time. You’re so happy,’” Simpson said. “It’s because I’m not on guard. I’m with a lot of like-minded people. It’s not about the celebrities — it’s really about the music and the heart and the conversation.”

Simpson's kids have been affected by fame, too, she said while speaking to “Access Hollywood."

“Now my kids see me being still scrutinized, and it’s very confusing to them,” Simpson said. “They’re like, ‘Well, I don’t even understand this.’ Like, ‘Why don’t they just say you look pretty, Mommy? You look pretty.’”

Years after putting her music career on pause to raise her children, Simpson says that her move to Nashville has revitalized her interest in her music career.

“I’m not nervous at all, but if you were to ask me two years ago when I was talking about coming back to music, I was frightened,” Simpson explained to “E! News.” “But now, I know exactly what I want.”

Now, Simpson is focusing on producing her music her way. The Jessica Simpson Collection founder explained that she's ready for her comeback, which she says has been 12 years in the making.

“I’m building my own platform. I’m doing it for the first time — the way I would — without a label telling me I need to do this song or use this producer. It’s all me.”

Speaking to “Extra” reporter Terri Seymour, Simpson said that she's ready to produce music that reflects her purpose. She also shared that she's looking to “have some of my southern roots back while I am in the recording studio.”

“It gives me chills thinking about it because I know that whenever I open this big old trap of mine, a lot is going to come out, and it’s going to be really powerful,” she explained. “I finally feel connected enough to my purpose in music, and I know exactly what it is I want to do. It’s very exciting.”
