Innovative Microneedling Treatments

Microneedling is one of the most effective treatments for improving skin texture, reducing scars, and stimulating collagen production. At Face It Franklin Medical Spa, we offer advanced microneedling procedures that deliver remarkable results with minimal downtime. This minimally invasive treatment involves using fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing process.

Benefits of Microneedling:

  • Improved skin texture and tone
  • Reduction in the appearance of scars, including acne scars
  • Minimized fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enhanced collagen and elastin production
  • Improved absorption of skincare products

The Microneedling Process

Our micro needling treatments begin with a consultation to assess your skin and determine the best course of action. During the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort. The micro needling device is then gently moved across the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. After the treatment, your skin may appear slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn, but this typically subsides within a few days.

What is RF Microneedling?

RF Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that enhances the traditional microneedling process by incorporating radiofrequency energy. The treatment involves using a device equipped with fine needles that create micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing response, promoting the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for healthy, youthful skin.

The added radiofrequency energy is delivered through the needles into the deeper layers of the skin, providing additional stimulation and tightening benefits. This combination makes RF Microneedling an effective solution for a wide range ofskin concerns.

Benefits of RF Microneedling

RF Microneedling offers numerous benefits, making it a popular choice for individuals seeking significant skin improvements with minimal downtime. Here are some of the key advantages:

Facials Edina, TN

The microneedling aspect of the treatment creates controlled micro-injuries that trigger the skin's natural healing process, leading to increased collagen and elastin production. Collagen is a vital protein that provides structure and firmness to the skin, while elastin helps maintain its elasticity.

Facials Edina, TN

The radiofrequency energy delivered during the procedure heats the deeper layers of the skin, causing immediate tightening and stimulating further collagen production over time. This helps to firm and lift the skin, reducing the appearance of sagging and improving overall skin tone.

Facials Edina, TN

RF Microneedling is highly effective in improving skin texture and tone. It can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores, leaving the skin smoother and more refined. The treatment also addresses issues like uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation.

Facials Edina, TN

This treatment is particularly beneficial for reducing the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. The combined action of microneedling and RF energy helps to break down scar tissue and stimulate the growth of new, healthy skin cells.

Facials Edina, TN

One of the major advantages of RF Microneedling is the minimal downtime associated with the procedure. Most patients experience mild redness and swelling immediately after treatment, similar to a sunburn, which typically subsides within a few days. This makes it an ideal option for those with busy lifestyles.

Facials Edina, TN

RF Microneedling can be customized to suit your specific skin type and concerns. The depth of needle penetration and the intensity of the RF energy can be adjusted to target different areas and achieve optimal results.

The RF Microneedling Procedure

Facials Edina, TN

Consultation

Your RF Microneedling journey at Face It Franklin Medical Spa begins with a comprehensive consultation. Our skilled estheticians and medical professionals will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, and determine if RF Microneedling is the right treatment for you.

Facials Edina, TN

Treatment

On the day of your treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure your comfort. Once the skin is adequately numbed, the RF Microneedling device will be gently moved across the treatment area. The fine needles create micro-channels in the skin while simultaneously delivering RF energy into the deeper layers.

Facials Edina, TN

Aftercare

After the treatment, you may experience mild redness, swelling, and a sensation of tightness. These side effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days. Our team will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and results. It is important to avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen diligently following the procedure.

The entire procedure typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area and the specific concerns being addressed.

What’s the criteria Quinn Carroll will use to make his college decision?

That’s a hot topic as the coveted Edina offensive tackle navigates his recruiting process. He’s considered the top player from Minnesota in the 2019 class and the 78th-best player in the nation, according to 247sports.com’s composite list.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound son of former Gophers and NFL tight end Jay Carroll has 30 offers, including one from Minnesota, and last year as a sophomore visited nearly 20 schools. Carroll and his dad made a repeat visit to Dinkytown last Saturday, where they saw the Gophers roll over Middle Tennessee State, 34-3, at TCF Bank Stadium.

Gophers coach P.J. Fleck visited Carroll in style on Friday night. He and Minnesota wide receivers coach Matt Simon, the primary recruiter of the state, boarded a helicopter Dinkytown and zipped to Edina’s game against Eastview in Apple Valley.

“Minnesota movement in full effect,” Fleck said in an online video before the helicopter door closed.

Last year, the NCAA moved up the official visit schedule to the spring of a recruit’s junior season, meaning Carroll’s potential short list of candidates is expected to be revealed when he determines what five schools he will check out on the school’s dime in April and May. That list could be longer if he opts to go to more schools and take unofficial visits at Minnesota, Wisconsin or Iowa, where the travel costs are lower.

Some of the premier programs to offer scholarships to Carroll include Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. The Gophers are considered to be in the mix.

“We try to get him out, to expose him to as many programs as possible because, truth be told, he really had no clue what he was looking for,” said Jay Carroll, who lettered for the Gophers from 1981-83 and played briefly for the Vikings and Buccaneers through 1985.

Jay said Quinn’s criteria is starting to crystallize, with location near the top of the list.

“He has four or five offers in Florida,” Jay said. “Do you want to go that far away? Do you want to go to USC or UCLA or Stanford? Do you want to go in the SEC, ACC? Location is big thing, and I don’t think he has an answer to that.”

Some coaches have asked if he has a desire to win national championships.

“Do you think a sophomore in high school has been thinking about that? Probably not,” Jay said. “That is something that he has to think about. … Or is it playing in a great program and having the chance to compete for a conference championship and a good bowl game?”

Jay has heard Quinn often mention the importance of his relationship with the head coach, offensive line coach, and strength and conditioning coach.

“It comes down to relationship and trust,” Jay said. “In the end, I think my bet is that is going to tip the scales the most. It’s just like looking for your spouse.

“As a parent, how can you determine who that is going to be? I really don’t know. He has met a lot of really good guys and a lot of impressive coaches, but are they the ones for him?”

49ers-Vikings game puts Iowa pals George Kittle and T.J. Hockenson on prime-time stage

Graduates of Iowa’s “Tight End University” are showing off what they learned during their time playing for the Hawkeyes.

MINNEAPOLIS — The starting offense for the San Francisco 49ers offense was cycling through the narrated intros during a recent nationally televised game when a mischievous-looking face popped up on NBC's broadcast for his turn at telling the 26 million viewers where he learned his craft.

“George Kittle, Tight End University,” was how this player with the long blond hair draping over his shoulder pads confidently presented himself.

Just in case Kittle's clever bit caused any confusion for the casual fans: He went to Iowa, the hard-nosed program that has proudly been producing NFL tight ends in the heartland of America as well as any college team around. The Hawkeyes have practically built their scheme around the players at this long-underappreciated position that blends the flash and grit of the game as no other.

“My first day on campus, they told me if I didn’t learn how to run block, I’d never touch the field. So I made it a passion of mine,” said Kittle, who was a fifth-round draft pick by the 49ers in 2017. “Iowa just kind of instills in you that you just have to work harder than everyone else, no matter what.”

When Kittle was a fifth-year senior with the Hawkeyes, T.J. Hockenson was a wide-eyed redshirt in the tight-end room. He wound up as the eighth overall pick in the 2019 draft by Detroit, which traded him to Minnesota last season. The two former Hawkeyes will be featured receivers for their teams on Monday night when the Vikings host the 49ers. They'll play heavy roles in the running game too.

“There’s not many schools that teach you to run off the ball like Iowa does, to go attack players,” Hockenson said. “That was a big thing for me in college to learn that.”

Iowa tied for the most tight end alumni on NFL opening weekend rosters this year, matching Georgia, Notre Dame and Stanford with five apiece. With Kittle, Hockenson, Seattle's Noah Fant and Lions rookie Sam LaPorta, former Hawkeyes have a collective 94 catches for 1,014 yards and eight touchdowns this season entering Week 7 to make them the most productive tight ends from one school in the league. Iowa also held that crown over the past five years, besting noted factories Miami, Notre Dame and Stanford.

Current Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz is a tight ends coach at heart who coached that position in 2011, his last of four seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots.

“It’s just one of those places that really develop you. I wasn’t really a star when I came out,” said Hockenson, an Iowa native whose first scholarship offer was from Iowa State, where his parents went.

His brothers attended Iowa, though, and he long dreamed of playing for the Hawkeyes after growing up admiring their most accomplished former tight end, Dallas Clark, who accumulated 5,665 receiving yards over 11 years in the league.

“They’ve been a winning program for a long time, and that’s an easy thing to buy into,” Hockenson said. “Playing there definitely helped me through the ebbs and flows of an NFL system.”

Kittle and Hockenson train together in the offseason with some other NFL players at Kittle's 75-acre property outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Kittle and his wife installed a workout facility in a remodeled barn and had a football field built in the yard. The group brings in their own physical therapists and speed and strength specialists.

Kittle and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce have also led an annual summer summit in the area — called “Tight End University” — for dozens of NFL tight ends to work on their games, help each other out and have a good time.

There's a lot to celebrate these days, thanks largely to Kittle.

While wearing a microphone during a game in 2018, Kittle fawned on the sideline over a touchdown catch by teammate Garrett Celek and joked that it was “National Tight Ends Day.” Social media funsters ran with it, the league caught on and now the day is observed each fourth Sunday in October.

“Got some family coming in, got some T-shirts made up, so I’m pretty excited,” Hockenson said. “It’s just great to be able to showcase what we do, because we do do a lot.”

The 49ers-Vikings matchup couldn't be more fitting for the occasion, even though the game is a day after the official holiday. The prime-time game will give Kittle and Hockenson a grand stage to show off their skills and how far they've come.

“I love everything about T.J. and I really respect his game and how he plays it,” Kittle said, joking that he would sell Hockenson's trade secrets to the 49ers defensive backs. "If I had him on my fantasy team I’d probably start him this week. But I’m giving our guys tips to try to slow him down so I can have a better National Tight Ends Day.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. & EDINA, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Iron Path Capital, a private equity firm focused on building differentiated businesses in the healthcare and specialty industrials sectors, is pleased to announce that Capitol Pain Institute (CPI) is entering the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan market via the acquisition of Nura Pain Clinics (Nura). This partnership expands CPI’s network of clinics and ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) in the Midwest, strengthening the ability to provide exceptional care to patients with chronic pain in the region. CPI’s expansion to Minnesota marks the company’s sixth state in its national platform. CPI currently operates in Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Texas.

Minnesota is one of the fastest-growing states in the Midwest and is known for having a high-quality healthcare system. According to a Commonwealth Fund report, Minnesota ranks second in the United States for healthcare access, quality, and outcomes. This made it an attractive and natural next entry market for CPI.

“We are thrilled to continue growing our national network, and I feel very strongly that Nura Pain Clinic is the right team with whom to enter the Minnesota market,” said CPI founder and CEO Matt Schocket, M.D. “Nura’s commitment to providing personalized and patient-centric care aligns with our values at CPI. We are excited to work together as we expand our reach and treat more patients battling chronic pain with the innovative care they deserve.”

“Joining forces with CPI allows us to continue providing our patients with advanced quality care they have come to expect from Nura, while also giving us access to additional resources that will help us expand our services,” said Nura founder and CEO David Schultz, M.D. “We look forward to working with CPI and providing exceptional care and improving the lives of patients across Minnesota suffering from chronic pain.”

Nura is recognized in Minnesota and the overall Interventional Pain Management (IPM) community for its expertise in intrathecal pain pump implants and spinal cord stimulator implants. Dr. Schultz is a thought leader who has published multiple research studies on the efficacy of these treatments. A study designed by Dr. Schultz and subsequent article published in the Neuromodulation Journal found that 94% of patients reported improved pain control after pump implantation, 77.6% reported improved physical functioning, and 38.9% completely discontinued oral medication. Once a pain pump is implanted, it needs to be regularly refilled. To best serve patients, Nura also provides pharmacy and home care services to ensure the quality of their medication, as well as support patients who may be immobile or lack caretakers to bring them to the clinic for refills.

“Iron Path is investing behind Nura because of its strong clinical leadership in Dr. Schultz, reputation for compliance and quality patient care, high mix of specialty procedures, and contribution to scientific research that advances the entire IPM field,” said Iron Path Capital co-founder Rob Reistetter. “We are excited to have him join us as Chief Medical Officer of the Capitol Pain platform.”

CPI and Nura are committed to providing the most advanced, evidence-based pain management treatments available. The team of expert physicians and support staff work together to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs that are holistic and multidisciplinary, with the goal of reducing pain, improving function, and enhancing overall quality of life.

“As we embark on this journey with a new partner, we’re excited to advance our mission in finding the right talent and partnerships to bring our chronic pain treatment platform nationwide,” said Iron Path Capital co-founder Scott Mraz. “We look forward to the future and the positive impact on our partners, patients, and communities we serve.”
